Disabled People should not be part of the benefit clampdown

Petition Details

Hidden or visible disability is not a choice.
For many of us it is a daily struggle to maintain dignity and independence.
To remove this is dangerous and will cause escalation of despair and isolation.

.

Additional Information

Stop the rhetoric on disabled people with visible or hidden capabilities. It is cruel & insulting. It is not a choice , it is something that changes your life and your ability to live the life you would rather have.
Any proposed voucher scheme is insulting & discriminatory. We know what we need and should not be told how to spend our payments.
Nor should our expenditure be questioned.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Dear Tracy,

Thank you for your petition.

I am afraid we will be unable to accept your petition as submitted. This is because petitions need to call for the Government or Parliament to take a clear and specific action, and we are not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, for example setting out how you'd like the Government to change its policies or support for disabled people.

Have your say on this petition!
