Bring an end to meme jail
We demand an end to arresting and jailing people for sharing memes or tweets meant as humor or opinion. It's absurd that anyone is imprisoned for a meme here. This petition calls for their release and a reevaluation of digital speech policing to ensure it supports free expression
In today's digital world, jailing someone for a meme or tweet is ridiculous. Laws must evolve to protect harmless expressions, not punish humor. Jailing for memes is excessive; focus should be on real threats, not stifling creativity online.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
