Introduce a civic responsibility law which mandates learning about democracy.
In three parts: 1) that local MPs must service their constituents and educate them on democracy and elections as part of the role, not travel extensively. 2) that democracy and elections is a topic taught from primary school. 3) that adult education on the same is mandated for all over the age at 2)
There is a degraded understanding of why democracy is important, how elections work, and the gravity of those decisions. This is increasing division in society and also allowing false and harmful narratives to flourish at a time when unity, collaboration, and tolerance is required. Notable examples exist of MPs disregarding their constituents in favour of international travel to serve their own ends. Over all we are being done an inter-generational disservice which will continue to cause issues.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
