A new crime of 'Political Perjury' should be established.
Wherever an MP or candidate is found to be knowingly lying, misrepresenting the truth or failing to give direct relevant answers to legitimate questions by journalists without any other messaging. The penalties will include suspension from the House, substantial fines and imprisonment.
Public frustration with the inability of politicians to answer straightforward questions simply and honestly without trying to get a 'message' included in the response. (As required by their media trainers)
