Petition Action

Introduce a training scheme for young people to qualify for benefits

Petition Details

In order to qualify for benefits, we think young people who are able and can work should enrol into a government sponsored training scheme. As part of the scheme, trainees would receive tops up to min/living wage, NI tax breaks and qualifications so they can enter the work place.

Additional Information

Reports indicate there are record amounts of people relying on the welfare state. We think this is a national crisis and whilst it is perfectly acceptable for the most needy in society to receive help, it should not be a choice. We think this scheme should be a legal requirement if young people are able to work, staying home and living on benefits should not be a matter of choice.
