I am sick of paying £2 for something that costs £1.99 and getting that awkward 1p that sits at home forever. Making a 99p coin would get rid of the awkward exchange of loose change.

Obviously, the 1p coin would still be required in the event that someone would want to purchase an item from poundland using a 99p coin
