Reform the booking system and enforce penalties for test theft and resale
We urge the Government to reform the DVLA driving test booking system to prevent fraud and resale of test slots. Introduce stricter verification for bookings, impose penalties on offenders, and ensure fair access for genuine candidates. This will promote integrity and reduce delays.
The current DVLA driving test00 system is being exploited, with stolen test slots sold for £250-£300, while the normal test price is £62. This unfair practice delays genuine candidates, affecting their finances, job opportunities, and confidence. Reforming the system and enforcing penalties will ensure fair access and restore trust."
