Change where medical appointments affect the schools attendance percentage.
A great deal of parents understand education is important. However when important medical appointments arise and there are no appointments later in the day or over the weekend families and schools are penalised.
Help support families who are already having a difficult time having to attend medical appointments or create a system where parents are given appointments out of school hours. If parents don't go to appointments this could be seen as neglect.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what specific action you would like the Government or Parliament to take.
