Free bus passes to College/school etc for children in further education
From September 2014, all pupils will be required to remain at school, college or on-the-job training until they turn 17. It is the first step in a move towards raising the education leaving age to 18 by 2015.
What is not widely known, is that once a child is over 16 – and starting in further education – they are no longer entitled to a free bus pass to school/college, despite the fact that such attendance is compulsory.
This is a petition for the free bus pass scheme to be extended to those children in compulsory further education schemes, to cover transport to their school/college etc.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
