Create an English Parliament
England is the only country in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland which does not have some form of National Government.
Whilst Scotland has a National Parliament, and Wales and Northern Ireland both have National Assemblies, England has nothing.
This petition asks the UK Government to establish an English Parliament or Assembly which would have control over English Issues in the same way the other UK countries have control over their own national issues.
The lack of a national government means that the English have no representation in the form of a First Minister or a cabinet, and have no power to make their own decisions. Instead, England is entirely controlled by the British Government and MP's from all 4 countries.
We believe that is is vitally important that the people of England are treated as equals in this Union.
