Reform the Benefits System to Encourage Work and Support Fairness for Taxpayers
Tighten requirements to ensure only those actively seeking work or facing genuine barriers can access benefits;
Limit the duration of benefits for individuals capable of working;
Strengthen systems to detect and prevent fraud or misuse;
Taxpayers should not feel their hard-earned money is subsidizing a system that benefits those who are unwilling to contribute. Support must remain available for individuals unable to work due to illness, disability, or other legitimate reasons.
These reforms aim to create a welfare system that rewards effort, promotes fairness, and alleviates the financial pressure on hardworking taxpayers. Let’s ensure public funds are used effectively to support a stronger, more responsible society.
