Compensate people excluded from Government COVID support schemes
1. Acknowledge the financial hardship faced by taxpayers excluded from government support during COVID
2. Provide fair & equitable redress to those taxpayer who received nothing
We think an estimated 3 million UK taxpayers, comprising a diverse group of freelancers, small business owners, & newly employed individuals, were unfairly excluded from COVID financial support schemes. We believe this exclusion resulted in severe financial hardship, including loss of income, business closures, & personal debt. Despite repeated calls for action, we feel the government has failed in its moral obligation & legal duty to address this social injustice, which we think continues to wreck lives.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
