Fund free regular prescriptions for mental health patients

Petition Details

We want parity with certain chronic physical disease sufferers (e.g. diabetics). We want the government to add chronic mental illness to the list of NHS prescription charge exemptions.

Additional Information

Mental illness can be chronic, and its treatment with medications is often required for many years and can be lifelong.

We think that mental health support is sadly under resourced and mental health is not spoken about nearly as much as physical disease.

We think this would be a small but important step in making the everyday lives of mental illness sufferers a little easier.
