Create a statutory property information service with house buying information

Petition Details

We think a full property survey/ valuation history should be available online, with a full copy of every new survey added to a property's case history.
The service could also add a history of notifiable improvements such as electrical, gas, building control, planning, etc.

Additional Information

We believe it would solve lots of issues with buying and selling properties, save buyers money, prevent sellers trying to hide issues, improve the speed and quality of information, stop duplication, etc.
We believe it doesn't need to cost tax payers anything and could be self financing by charging solicitors a fee to access a property's information when conveyancing and charging property owners a small fee to access information relating to a property they own.
