Petition Action

Legalise recreational cannabis & release those convicted of cannabis offences.

Petition Details

Change existing laws to allow for the use of cannabis.
Review all those convicted of cannabis offences, and release all non-violent offenders to appropriate community placements.
Enforce an 18 or over stance for cannabis use (excluding prescribed use).

Additional Information

We think legalising cannabis in the UK could have a monumental and groundbreaking impact on the quality of life for the general public, it could provide more options and better outcomes for patients within the healthcare service, and could open up an industry almost untouched by the UK. We think legalisation could bring in a lot of tax money, reduce strain on the legal system, and may even have wider benefits for the medical field.

We think legalisation would make research more accessible and lessen the stigma around its use.
