Amend Student Loan eligibility

Petition Details

Make Student Loans available to people who:
1. Have never had a Student Loan in the UK and have completed a Bachelor's Degree (in the UK or abroad)
2. Have had a Student Loan in the UK that has been fully paid off.

Additional Information

We think this is particularly important when it comes to Medical or Health related degrees.

The job market is always changing, and not just in Medicine. With advances in AI and other fields that require a degree, we think helping people retrain in other fields is of paramount importance.

Tuition fees are too high for most people to pay outright, but when there is evidence that people have completed a degree (and possibly already paid off a SL), we think there should be confidence that they will be able to pay off the SL by gaining further education.
