Allow dependents to stay if someone switches to care visa

Petition Details

We want the Government to allow those on other visa routes to be able to switch to the Health and Care Visa and for their dependents to be able to stay, as there are many students on the graduate route who are experienced and work in the care sector but aren’t switching due to the dependent rule.

Additional Information

I came here on a student visa and started a part time job in a care home. I completed my degree, and am now on the graduate route and still working in care. I have almost 2 years of experience and my employer is happy with my work. I love my job, but I can’t switch to a care visa as I have a dependent with me. There are many people in the same situation, and we want the Government to allow those who are already in the UK and have experience to be able to apply for a care visa and for their dependents to be able to stay.
