Petition Details

We urge the creation of an independent safeguarding body to:

Investigate institutional abuse objectively.
Review local authority decisions
Protect vulnerable adults effectively.

Additional Information

Without this body, we feel vulnerable adults have no higher authority to ensure safety.

We believe the system forces agencies to investigate themselves, creating conflicts of interest and leaving people unprotected. We think no effective independent body exists to oversee or intervene when local authorities fail to safeguard the vulnerable.
