Ban smartphones for under 14s.
Bad smartphones in schools, ban children under 14 or 16 from owning smartphones. Protect children from dangerous content on the internet.
The Safer Phones Bill sets out to protect children when using the internet and digital devices.
A study by Channel 4 (Swiped) showed that smartphones are damaging to children's health and wellbeing, and affect children's education and ability to concentrate and learn.
The Smartphone Free Childhood (SFC) charity has also identified a number of issues with children owning smartphones.
