Pensioners Tax Allowance
I would like the tax earnings threshold for pensioners to be raised from the standard £12,500 allowance, which is for everyone to £16,000 per year before any tax is taken or deducted from pensions or private pensions
For years and years success governments have stated that people from a working age must take private pensions to sustain them in their old age.
However I have now reached pensionable age and my private pensions which are minimal are taxed heavily because my threshold for earnings before paying tax is still the same as it was when I was working.
Pensioners of this generation and since the 60's have worked mainly all their life, other countries have adopted this process why can't we.
