Petition Action

Grant British citizenship to Kurdish people and acknowledge history

Petition Details

After World War I, the UK helped shape the Middle East. We consider the Treaty of Lausanne (1923) denied Kurds an independent state, and has left millions divided and stateless.

Additional Information

We believe the UK Government should:
1. Acknowledge what we consider is its historical role in contributing to Kurdish statelessness.
2. Grant UK citizenship to Kurdish people as a form of reparative justice.
