Petition Action

Ban the door to door activities of selling, charities and religion

Additional Information

Ban the door to door activities of selling, charity collections and religious organisations.

There is no place or need in modern society for company representatives to sell by door to door - people have their own means of sourcing products or services without the need of a doorstep hawker.

Charities should also not be allowed to attempt to get people to sign up for direct debits with people on the doorstep - if they wish to give to charity they will do it of their own free will.

Finally, religious organisations should not be able to recruit on the doorstep.

These door to door people often come at very anti social times and can become very rude when turned away. We should leave people to make their own decisions of their own free will rather than being harangued on their doorstep.
