The UK government should erase poverty in the UK before trying to erase it in lower economically developed countries

The UK government should erase poverty in the UK before trying to overcome it in lower economically developed countries. We cant go fixing other countries when we are not perfect our self, so instead of helping poorer countries we should decrease poverty in our own country. Figures from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) states that about three in five British households experienced income poverty for at least one year during the period 1991–2004.
