Ban The Sale & Use of Electric Shock Collars in England

Additional Information

England - Ban Electric Shock Collars For Dogs

Electric shock collars are scientifically proven to fail as a training method according to many studies including DEFRA's own.

Dogs are proven to be physically & mentally stressed when wearing them.

They create:
* A false sense of security to the owner as electric devices often fail.
* A high risk to people & livestock, as a dog which is unpredictable & possibly dangerous (shock collar or not) should be trained properly.
* A danger to children, as they have been used as a form of child correction - access to these tools should be removed!

Reliance on a remote collar to protect people & animals, is not just irresponsible but dangerous & unreliable.
The responsibilities of owning a dog includes creating safety - this takes time, patience & effort - it is not done by remote control.

Any dog can be trained with time & patience. Wales banned them in 2010.

England please listen - sign up & email your local MP.
