Do NOT cancel the County Council elections in May 2025.
West Sussex is in no way ready to enter the Governments priority Mayoral devolution programme, there having been minimal engagement with Councils and Councillors and zero engagement with the public. West Sussex County Council elections should continue as planned in May 2025.
The County Council elections are vital to ensure areas have strong representation, delaying elections will lead to a period of stagnation and complacency.
