Home Office-led inquiry into historic child abuse in Oldham by grooming gangs
Oldham council have asked the government to hold an independent inquiry into the abuse of young British girls by grooming gangs. This was rejected without full discussion in parliament. This issue needs to be fully debated.
Grooming gangs have been allowed to operate in numerous towns and cities across the country due to systemic failures by the authorities entrusted to protect our vulnerable. Lessons need to be learned, and correct safeguards need to be introduced.
