Disband the DWP. Create a new social security system.
DWP policies cause poverty & hardship. Systemic problems and unfair rules harm vulnerable people. We need a new, compassionate system that prioritizes dignity & respect, helps people find and keep jobs, and provides a strong safety net. The new system must be transparent, accountable and efficient.
The DWP's failures are evident in:
Increased food bank use.
Negative impact on mental health.
Flawed disability assessments.
Scandals and controversies that have eroded public trust.
A new system must prioritize:
Dignity and respect for all.
Support to find and keep jobs, with a strong safety net.
Transparency and accountability.
Efficiency in service delivery.
Disbanding the DWP and building a new system will create a social safety net that truly supports everyone in the UK.
