Develop a ski/tourism facility in the Tees Valley
There is a significant lack of investment in winter/snow sports in the Tees Valley region. This would raise aspirations of many, it would raise the tourism profile of the area, widen participation and improve fitness. It would give so many people the opportunity to develop & enjoy the region.
To develop a snow facility in the region that enables people to access facilities that people have in other areas of the UK.
The TDC did once state they would introduce this in Middlehaven, but pulled the plug. This would help boost the local economy, would raise aspirations and bring typists to the area.
Government ministers need to consider this to bring this region up to deed with others, just to level the playing field not to level up.
