This could act as a deterrent and contribute to the reduction of knife-related crimes.

Introduce 12 month mandatory minimum sentence, including for 1st time offenders. Implement a mandatory 6-month knife awareness course for rehabilitation as part of the sentencing process.

Additional Information

My son Harley Barfield, a vibrant 16-year-old boy, was stabbed 12 times in an attack in Haverhill Suffolk on 9th January 2023. He lost his fight for life on 11th January 2023.

It was an ordinary day, just after school let out, and he was attacked in broad daylight.
