National enquiry into child sexual abuse grooming gangs.
We believe that the evidence suggests that this is a national not local problem and that a local investigation will have limited focus and cannot address the core issues.
The Jay report published 2022 specifically only looked at six geographical areas and therefore fails to identify the scope of child sexual abuse by grooming gangs or its National prevalence. Furthermore, since publication the governments have yet to enact on its recommendations.
