New offence for giving injectable aesthetics without qualifications & insurance

Petition Details

We want the government to change the law so that anyone who performs injectable aesthetic treatments (such as filler, botox and fat dissolving etc) without the right qualifications and insurance commits a criminal offence, and could be sentenced to time in jail.

Additional Information

We are concerned that people are being disfigured, causing extreme distress and pain. Unsuspecting clients often feel they are in good hands. We think that people would be more unlikely to perform these injectable treatments unless qualified and insured if they are at risk of being charged and this could lead to imprisonment.
