Ensure that all council elections scheduled for 2025 go ahead.
Ensure that all council elections scheduled for 2025 go ahead, and are not delayed despite requests from councils due to restructuring.
This is to ensure that people have a right to vote and that councils continue to have a democratic mandate from the people.
As there is no clear timeline for all councils on exactly how restructuring would work, elections due for 2025 should go ahead.
Saving money is not an excuse for cancelling elections - because if it was, there would be no elections at all.
