Ensure companies don't make excess profits to bring prices down to a fair amount
We think any profit margin above 30%is excessive. We want the government to negotiate with supermarkets and companies, who are making excessive profits, to use their profits to bring down prices. Alternatively, we'd like the Government to introduce a windfall tax on their profits.
We feel this could help ease the cost of living crisis for millions of people. We believe this policy would show strong leadership and benefit the public.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
