Raise the luxury car tax list price from £40,000 to £52,000 from April 2025.
This will reinstate a value that would be the case if inflation had been taken into account since it was first introduced.
It will not put off potential EV buyers from buying an EV. Most EVs would be caught by this tax as they still tend to cost more than their ICE equivalents. Not having raised this since it was introduced is an anti-green measure.
