Oppose the Expansion of the BBC Licence Fee to Streaming-Only Households
We, the undersigned, urge the UK Government to reject any proposals that would require households that do not watch live TV or BBC content to pay the BBC licence fee.
No BBC Consumption: Many UK households rely solely on streaming platforms and do not use BBC services. It is unfair to force them to subsidise a service they do not watch.
Unjust Taxation on Choice: Charging a licence fee based on owning a TV or internet connection rather than actual BBC usage is outdated and penalises those who prefer on-demand streaming over live television.
