Petition Action

The government must respect the result of 2012 Manchester Mayoral referendum.

Additional Information

In 2012, the people of Manchester were asked in a referendum if they believed their city should be run by a directly elected mayor. They voted against.

The government should not ignore the democratic will of the people by imposing one on them anyway.
