Petition Action

Outlaw Ghost Job Listings and Mandate Salary Transparency

Petition Details

We urge the Government to ban ghost job postings and require salary transparency. Employers must list only real jobs, disclose pay, and remove filled roles. Enforce penalties for violators and provide oversight for a fairer job market.

Additional Information

Fake job postings waste applicants’ time and manipulate employment statistics. This is misleading and distorts the labour market.

This practice leads to unfair wages. Women, minorities, and vulnerable groups suffer the most, worsening pay gaps.

By enforcing penalties for deceptive postings and mandating pay disclosures, the Government can create a fairer and more honest labour market. Parliament must act now to eliminate these exploitative practices.
