Food waste reduction: celebrating the ugly fruits & veg
You pick-up a fruit, you put it back down before settling on a more shiny, flawless one.
Been there, done that.
It's a fact: we naturally dont go for the two-legged carrots, misshapen tomatoes, and bumpy courgettes.
What about giving a second chance to those fruits & vegetables?
This initiative aims at intercepting undersirable fruits & vegs from suppliers (farmers, growers...) and selling them in large supermarket chains (M&S, Sainsburry, Waitrose, Tesco....) at a discounted price.
Let's take food waste seriously and review our food standards.
