Bring UK firework legislation in line with Irish legislation, including banning ‘backyard’ fireworks

Additional Information

We request the following alterations to current UK firework legislation:

1) Current UK Firework legislation to be brought in line with Irish legislation: http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/justice/criminal_law/criminal_offences/the_law_on_fireworks.html including:

2) Ignition of a category 2-4 firework by a non-professional firework operator in a public OR private place to become an offence

3) Fireworks displays to be restricted to organised displays by licensed professionals only, with the following exception:

4) A free application process to be put in place for allowing fireworks at private parties IF organised by a professional fireworks operator and meeting other terms.
