Scrap BMI being the deciding factor or IVF
To look at other ways to determine weight for BMI. Consider race, muscle mass and other body factor.
I have been trying for a baby for over 4 years and have been told to have the IVF support I need I have to be under 30 BMI. I am a curvy mixed races women who goes to the gym 5 times a week and is in a calorie deficit. My body is natural heavier as I am muscly but to look at me I’m not obese. Something need to be done or discussed can’t imagine how many other women must feel robbed of motherhood

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.
Decisions about access to IVF are a clinical matter for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, the NHS and individual clinicians, not the Government or House of Commons.
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to review access to IVF for people with a high BMI, if that's something you would like to happen.
