CANCEL AND REVOKE the Data (Use and Access) Bill [HL]
Our Demands
We call on Parliament to:
• Reject the bill to ensure it aligns with fundamental privacy rights and democratic values.
• Hold a mass public consultation to allow citizens, privacy experts, and civil society organizations to express their concerns.
1. Threat to Privacy - The bill may grant excessive powers to government agencies, allowing unprecedented access to personal data without sufficient oversight.
2. Erosion of Digital Rights - Increased data collection and surveillance could infringe upon the rights to privacy
3. Lack of Transparency and Accountability-concerns about how the collected data will be used, stored, and shared, with insufficient safeguards against misuse.
4. Potential for Abuse
5. Impact on Businesses and Innovation
