Make pre-election manifesto promises binding in law.
Voters must be able to rely on honest pre-election dialogue in order to be confident that if they vote for a candidate based on Party manifesto promises these must be legally binding if the incoming Government achieves an absolute majority.
Governments are meant to be accountable to the people for their pre-election promises & actions but are currently immune from any sanction between General Elections if these promises & actions are not fulfilled or are deliberately shelved once they gain a majority in the House.
