Make the ambulance service an emergency service
Do the general public know that the UK Ambulance Service is not an emergency service? Actually it is classed as an 'essential service'.This means it is in the same catagory as the gas, electric
Because it’s the correct thing to do.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand your concerns regarding the recognition of the work of paramedics, but we are not clear what you would like paramedics to be entitled to specifically as there is no specific status and entitlement for emergency workers.
You are welcome to start a new petition setting out more clearly what you think paramedics should be entitled to.
