Help prevent fly tipping in our local communities.
prevent fly tipping by:
raising awareness
give out more effective consequences to those who do so
e.g. fine, non custodial, custodial sentences
Because it is overlooked in society and is not seen as big as an issue as it should.
It is destroying local communities in numerous ways thus being:
harming natural reserves and ecosystems
damaging local attractions which repels tourism affecting our economy
Many of the most common items that are fly tipped have a high plastic content, and so, are non-biodegradable.
There should also be a wider range of possibilities for those in the communities to resolve this issue around illegal tipping
