Form an independent Department of Government Efficiency (akin to the USA)
As is now happening in the USA, the current and all future Governments of the UK should be subject to an independent review of Government spending to ensure that the spending of taxpayer funds benefits the British public. This can be done by forming an independent Department of Government Efficiency
This will directly impact the deficit faced by the Government and ensure that every GBP spent is accounted for. This will also eliminate wastage of taxpayer funds and allow for more policies to be implemented which benefit the working British public and tax payers, for instance an increased threshold for income tax. The current and future Governments should be obligated to do undergo this review due to the current financial crisis faced by the majority of the Great British public.
