We want the current government to stop discriminating people who are disabled.
It is rumoured that the chancellor will set out ensuring cuts are made to claimants on Personal Independence Payments (PIP) from next year by not adding the inflation rise.
This is surely a discriminatory measure.
The government should be focusing on those being awarded PIP who are fooling the system out of thousands of pounds yet don’t have a genuine disability.
Focus on implementing a complete comprehensive new system that ensures assessment staff are completely trained.
Additionally, ensure that all assessments are done face-to-face (unless severely restricted)
Take away the points system and use medical notes etc to back up the claimants condition.
Make assessments more difficult than ever.
