Petition Action

UK Government to review and reform the way CMS is calculated and operates.

Petition Details

Introduce a fixed contribution system based on the basic financial needs of a child, such as food, clothing, housing, and education. Introduce a fairer assessment that considers the full financial situation of both parents.
Prevent paying parents from manipulating their income to reduce payments.

Additional Information

There are growing concerns that the current system is failing many families due to unfair calculations, lack of enforcement, and admin issues.
We urge the Government to take immediate action on;
The current income-based assessment with a needs-based.
Ensure Transparency and Fairness in Calculations.
Strengthen Enforcement Against Non-Payers.
Improve CMS Efficiency and Accountability.
Introduce Regular Government Reviews of CMS Performance.
