Revoke the Mutilations (Permitted Procedures) (England) Regulations

Petition Details

Revoke the Mutilations (Permitted Procedures) (England) Regulations 2007 so that there are no exemptions to the prohibited procedures laid out in the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

Additional Information

We urge the UK Government to take decisive action to end these practices and to set a new, higher standard for animal welfare that respects the sentience and dignity of all farmed animals in our country. By improving housing, enriching environments, and humane handling protocols, agriculture can be transformed into a system that prioritizes animal well-being and ethical food production. We think this could help restore public confidence and ensure that the UK leads by example.
