Petition Action

Change in law regarding stabbing victims.

Petition Details

I would like to ask the United Kingdom government to replace the legislation with a law that would treat every report of a crime such as stabbing as a priority and would require law enforcement agencies to take all appropriate action to catch the perpetrators regardless of when the crime took place.

Additional Information

This law would allow for the recognition of each case, even from many years ago, the collection of records, the elimination of deliberate manipulation aimed at concealing perpetrators, would lead to the capture of the most dangerous criminals and would serve victims in the fight against them through legal matters. Every victim would have a chance for hope and justice.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
