Reverse Cuts to Unfit For Work Benefits & PIP Claims for Disabled People

Petition Details

With recent plans to freeze Personal Independent Payment in 2026 & heavily cutting this & Unfit For Work Universal Credit benefits for disabled people, this will not help ‘encourage disabled people back into work’, it'll instead worsening their quality of life due to them not being able to get work.

Additional Information

Liz Kendall, the Work & Pensions secretary for the current Government, has made baseless statements of people claiming PIP & UFW UC benefits by taking their income away as an insentive to ‘get back into work’ & not 'take the mickey'. In reality most disabled & neurodivergent people receiving these benefits both need PIP to get navigate public life with their conditions better. This along with the Unfit For Work benefit garuntees income for people who would not be hired due to their conditions.
